Poppies

The poppies are blooming in California! Sooooo pretty because of the rain. I'd never been to the poppy reserve before, but it was beautiful - plus bonus to go with my wonderful friends.

Happy Birthday Adam

Happy birthday to our #1 guy. It was an awesome week for Adam - Battle of the Ages premiere, unexpected acting gig, family time, massages, good food, apple pie. Even his baseball team sang him "Happy Birthday" with cupcakes.

We finally saw Captain Marvel, too!

2nd trimester AR awards. Go superreaders!

Spent a lot of time at the track. Love watching Audrey run.

Tyler's scout campout to kick off spring break. Adam back at work, but the rest of us are happy to be off.

Battle of the Ages! Premieres this week on BYU TV. We are so excited and proud of Adam. It's his birthday this week, too - so good vibes all around.

Also it was St. Patrick's Day, so we painted our nails green. 

Ate Lucky Charms. Was unlucky at the Pot O' Gold soccer tournament (but lucky in fun!)

And generally soaked in the sun. 

Spring Sports

Opening Day! Nothing like Little League, and our kids' childhoods will be filled with memories of it. Love baseball season.

Adam is coaching Cole's team again. Farm Dodgers! This season they learn to pitch and catch. Games feel looong... but they're learning, and they're cute.

Tyler's Intermediate level, but played a couple games with Juniors, too. He's had some amazing plays and good pitching so far. The last game was one of his best defensive games ever - including catching an awesome line drive at 1st, a double out catch and base tag at second, and picked a guy off at third. His head is always in the game.

Track! Love that Audrey has great girlfriends to run with.

At the mock meet Audrey broke all her PRs. Excited for her first official meet this weekend. She's also been practicing with two soccer teams as we make a decision on where she'll play this fall. She handles it all like a champ, and I'm always impressed with how hard she works, and how much she enjoys her sports and teammates.

Not every practice is good times - sometimes my sidekick is over it. 

A Little Catch Up

Basketball season ended. It was the cutest ever. I hope Cole does it again. He had fun, and had a great coach and team. Go Clippers!

The second grading period ended and these two got a trip to the book fair and Menchies for fantastic report cards. Can't believe we're in the third trimester!

I went to Virginia! By myself! It was awesome! Why do I only have these two pictures?!

Best trip ever besides making me homesick. Adam and the kids survived without me for 4 days and did great. So wonderful to catch up with my mom, Vernon, my sisters. Aunt Dorothy and Lil came over. It was nice to be away from my routine and on my own in Virginia. I loved every minute. It's just never enough time. I'm so lucky I have the best mom and sisters in the world. 99% sure we'll be back in July, so that's a bonus.

Rain and more rain in California, but apparently we are out of the drought. Poor Rey just watched it come down.

We got stuck on a roller coaster and it was the worst ever. No thank you.

Pi Day! (Our excuse to eat pie)

Audrey sang with chorus a couple times. Once at school for an assembly (they sang "A Million Dreams" from Greatest Showman.)

And she sang at a school district community event. "This Land is My Land" and a couple others. It was really cute, and the kids sounded great.
