Last Track Meet

Track is over for spring and Audrey had a fantastic season. She loves running with Storm. Fun to have Samantha on the 4x100 relay team, and they placed 1st! Audrey was the anchor leg.
Getting podium ready:
Fun season with these track and soccer friends:
Audrey was 2nd in the 400, 4th in the 100, and 3rd in the 200. She PR'd in all events today!
So proud of this girl - it's truly a joy to watch her run. She cheers on her teammates, and loves watching the older kids run from the sidelines. I hope there's a lot more track in her future. Her PRs:
100 - 16.49
200 - 34.99
400 - 1:21.86
4x100 relay - 1.03 (1st or anchor leg)
Tyler won his baseball game, and had some great hits. Cole got the game ball! Good job, kids.

Field Trip Friday

Got to chaperone Audrey's California Gold Rush field trip today at VT Ranch. Absolutely beautiful day. So glad I got to spend the morning with her and her fun classmates, and teacher.

Starting to feel like summer and just bought the first box of popsicles for after school.

Bunch of Stuff

This photo was taken while our house was on fire, because my friends Brooke, Amber, and Becky are amazing. There aren't many people who you can show up on their doorstep with a crying child (Audrey) and say, "My house is on fire. I need to leave my kids with you." And they hug, play, pray, keep your kids up-to-date with texts, swim, feed them dinner, offer a sleepover, and most importantly provide peace of mind knowing your kids are loved like you would love them. Makes me tear up every time I think about it. Look at these smiling faces, would you think their house is on fire?
Also my amazing boss and friend, Patricia, sent us the most delicious D.W. Cookies so we could eat our fire feelings.
And a couple friends dropped off beautiful flowers, so at least the inside of our house was pretty. So many gestures, truly appreciated.
Waaaaaaah, we had to say goodbye to our wonderful Osmonds. So sad, but so grateful for these lifelong friendships. We can only hope they'll be back in a few years.
Last track practice of the season ends in ice-cream! It's been a fun one with this crew:
Tyler's GATE Night presentation. He did a great job explaining the projects he worked on throughout the year:
Baseball buds hangin' at big brothers games:
Rookie Dodgers! Adam is a great coach, and the team is really good - making plays and hitting the ball. Go Cole!
Tyler has had a couple fantastic games. He pitched a perfect inning the other day. Made great outs at second base and short stop, and hit a triple at his last game. His batting stance is so awesome now, too. He is a stud.
Lastly, Audrey's soccer team made it to their first tournament medal round and it was very exciting. They played their butts off battling for 4th place and won! Good job girls. They are such a hardworking, fun team.

Universal Girls Day!

Audrey is almost ten. We'd been going back and forth about what she wanted to do for her birthday and couldn't quite decide. Becky had told me she and Ellie were going to Universal Studios this week because Ellie had finished the whole Harry Potter series, and they're moving to Montreal next week (waaaaaah!) Audrey had been reading the first book for a week or so, and I didn't think she was anywhere close to finishing, when she sat at the dinner table and said "I only have two more chapters of Harry Potter left!" I put two and two together, talked to Adam, then asked her if she'd like to go to Universal with Ellie for her birthday. "Yes!" And best day ever!!! Plus I spent it with my wonderful friend before she moves. Love these girls - it was the most special day and glad we could make it happen for them.

We love Poppy!
Harry Potter Land! It really was so cool.
Hogwarts!
This girl was bugged at me I made her wear the birthday pin. She got so much attention. Sorry, Audrey! But you only turn almost-ten once.
We tried every kind of butter beer - frozen, hot, and regular. Frozen and hot were the best!
Plus pumpkin juice and pumpkin fizz. Lots of drinks in Harry Potter world. And the lemon drops! Mmmm.
See! She got picked special to do the wand show because of the birthday pin. It was very neat.
Ellie got a wand for her souvenir - she'd been wanting one forever. Lots of cool things to do with the wand around the park.
I cannot stand all this cuteness! They are so fun together.
Lunch - these two shared messy ribs:
Accidental twinning. I am going to miss this girl so, so much. Becky is a one in a million friend.
I told Audrey she could pick one souvenir and of course she waited 'til she found the perfect stuffed animal, which we learned is a Pygmy Puff. I guess she'll find out about those in Book 4.
Wonderful day full of memories to last quite some time. So lucky to have these friends in our lives.
