First Week of Summer

Tyler's 12 yr. old All Star team. Proud of how hard he's worked the past few weeks - practice 5 or 6 days a week, and he's really grown. Happy for Tyler to work with these coaches again. Two were his first ever little league coaches. First game is tomorrow!

Summer means Tuesday pool days with our church friends:

Audrey is obsessed with Harry Potter, thanks to Aunt Lauren and our trip to Universal. She's already on book 5 and spends hours a day reading. Love summer books.

2nd Half Marathon!

Adam and I ran the Sugar Daddy Half Marathon on Saturday. It's a local half in our valley, and it couldn't have gone smoother. The weather was perfect June Gloom. Adam sang the National Anthem, which was super cool, and we both broke two hours (which was a goal for "someday", but didn't realize it would be this race!)

Done! I came in at 1:52 and Adam 1:57. My time was thanks to these two guys running on my heels the whole time. At first I was bugged by them, but by the end we were high five-ing we all beat our PRs. Their pace really pushed me to run about 45 sec/mile faster overall. I came in 40th overall and 4th in my age group. Adam was 51st, and 13th in his age group!

Afterward we had drinks and snacks at the race, then home to our awesome babysitter Tyler. So nice to do a race where we rolled out of bed easy peasy. We'd definitely do this race again - it kinda had a small town feel, too.

Last Day of School

4th, 6th, and kindergarten grads! So proud of these three. It's been a great year, and the last one at school all together.

After school the kids had popsicles, and Tyler had All-Star baseball practice. Audrey and Cole went to the kindergarten Scooter's Jungle party. Today - the first official day of summer vacation - we actually slept in a little (for us that was 7:30!) I took the kids to Incredibles 2. Happy that summer is here!!

Grad Night Dodgers Game

We thought rather than go out to a nice dinner, this would be the best way to celebrate Tyler's graduation. Love this team, love this family, Dodger Stadium is part of our family memories forever. It was a great game, not to mention our Dodger beach towel giveaway!

 How we feel about the fight!!!!! It was kind of super awesome, and definitely added to the excitement of the evening. Ask this girl about baseball - she knows stats, plays, batting lineup, pitching strategy, and more.

Extra-innings - trying to break that tie had a couple painful moments (Grandal so close!!) Cole dissed us for the row in front, and turned his hat for the 11th inning rally.

Dodgers walk off win!! Exciting end to the game, and kids loved staying up waaaaaay late. Love our Dodgers nights and our baseball lovin' fam.

6th Grade Graduation!

We have a 7th grader!! Can't believe it. We couldn't be more proud of Tyler, and couldn't have asked for a better 6th grade year (not to mention elementary school experience overall.) So excited for what lies ahead. Today was a wonderful morning.

Ms. Teasdale came! (Mrs. Jones's long-term sub when she went on maternity.) Tyler spent most of the year with her and really liked her.

Cole and Audrey were there, too, but I got zero pictures of them! They were trying to stay cool - it was so hot in the sun. They wanted to stay at school since they were doing fun things in class these last days. Adam, Tyler, and I celebrated with smoothies afterward to beat the heat.
