Sunday Ready

Biased, but these three are just the cutest (I'm sure Tyler would prefer handsomest). Sunday best for the primary program this morning. So proud of them - they delivered their lines, and played piano like pros.
This kid kills me in the vest and tie. I think he knew he looked sharp.

Hello Fall Ball

Night scrimmage at the ball field to kick off the fall baseball season. Playing at a new location. Pretty fun under the lights, and always love watching Tyler play.

Our Week

A bunch of photos from our week, like this cutie at soccer practice. Some gorgeous weather and hints of fall this week.
Ready for school. There are at least six boys in Cole's class who have these Costco hoodies. We made sure to buy two this season, they're a bit hit.
Home from school. Aa is the letter of the week, and we're loving zoo phonics ("Annie Alligator, a a a") It's so cute listening to Cole go through the alphabet. His brain is a little sponge.
New matching pjs:
Trying (failing?) at dog selfies:
Our snuggle puppy:
The death of Kylo Ren, by Rey:
I continued to enjoy my Ladybug break. Pilates, pedicure, and Bridget Jones while kids were at school. There were errands (like car battery dying), volunteering at schools, and Ladybug training stuff. Also, apparently when it's 70s in LA, and I'm not working, I bake! Made banana blueberry bread, pumpkin chocolate chip bread, and brownies this week. Strawberry oatmeal bars, and peach freezer jam might be up this week. (Don't notice the old, dirty oven.)
Saturday I tried to stay disciplined, woke up and had a really good run in my neighborhood. Tyler had his first fall baseball practice, then off to Lava Girls game #2. They tied 2-2. It was such an exciting game. Audrey played keeper for the first half (some great blocks), forward the rest. She is so fast!
Since "fall" weather left and we were back in the 90s, we decided to activate our Six Flags passes and head to Hurricane Harbor. Oh man, it felt so good to spend the afternoon in the lazy river and wave pool after sweating on the game fields. Came home to pizza and Henry Danger/Game Shakers fall premieres. (Yay fall tv is coming!)
This morning was last rehearsal for next week's primary program. Tyler and Audrey are both accompanying the primary. So proud of them! And Cole is adorable doing sign language for "I Love to See the Temple".

Saturday

Isn't this a great quote?! Love this one and have found it to be true.
Here we go, Saturdays. We'll be spending most weekends like this. Tyler had draft tryouts for fall baseball. He's playing somewhere new this fall (our old little league was only doing Sunday games.) Kinda fun to check out a new place, and I know he'll grow as a player.
Lava Girls first game! They played awesome, and won 6-1. Audrey scored two goals, and blocked a shot as keeper. Great way to kick off the season.
My super cute spectator:
Relaxing at home now. I ran my 6.3 miles again today (and it didn't kick my booty quite as bad as last week), so Costco pizza for dinner, while we watch BYU football, is gonna taste reeeallly good.

Girl Power

It was kind of a girl day! Spent the morning with these awesome Encino Girls. So glad we all still get together, always great to catch up with friends you've known forever.
Beautiful evening for soccer practice with the Lava Girls.
Our keeper!
Lava Girls spaghetti dinner. First game this weekend. Cute team - girls bonding already.
First Darling Derby with the Activity Days girls. She came in 4th! Good job, Audrey!

Long Weekend

We enjoyed our laid back Labor Day Weekend. Last one until Thankgiving with no games! We caught up on errands and around-the-house stuff. I ran 6 1/4 miles Saturday, and 4 today! My legs hurt. Hucklebeary is here - Cole is the first in his class to bring him home. How cute, and we got to make this fun poster all about our favorite little guy:
Finally made Audrey's Pom Pom Pets she got for her birthday! Took me two tries, but finally figured it out.
Why we got a dog:
Spent the morning at the park:
Love Spiderman on his pink scooter:
Cole loved that he and Adam happened to match!
Then to the pool!
And hot tub... ahhhhh... felt so good on my sore legs.
Adam grilled our Omaha Steak burgers (thanks Mom!) Nice end to the long weekend.
