Coronado Beach

Last morning with Adam's family, his parents left on an early flight, but siblings stayed to play at the beach a few hours before parting ways. It was fun hanging out at this gorgeous beach, enjoying our last little bit with family.
Love these four so much, our kids were great travelers this weekend.
Kids had tons of fun finding full sand dollars with Aunt Kim, and hermit crabs. Also the water glitters gold from graphite - it's so neat!
Adam and I decided we're definitely coming back to stay at the hotel and do a long weekend with the kids. Beautiful beach, and fun shopping and restaurants, plus see a Dodgers/Padres game. It would be a perfect getaway.
Fun end to our family weekend - loved seeing everyone, and spending time together. Hopefully happens again sooner than later.

La Jolla

After the sealing we got lunch, then headed to La Jolla Cove. One of my favorite Southern California spots. So fun to see the seals, explore caves and tide pools. Not to mention it's such a neat town, and beautiful views. Fun for the cousins to play.
So many seals, and a baby!
Cousin love:
The brothers and dad:
Grandparents with grandkids. So nice to see them, they'll be done with their mission in March.
I've been wanting to watch the sunset with my family all summer and it finally happened!
Ended the night with ice-cream, night swimming, and staying up waaaay late listening to Adam and his siblings tell all sorts of stories.

San Diego Weekend

So happy we could spend the weekend with Adam's family celebrating Mikey, Veronica, and their children being sealed in the San Diego temple. Adam's dad sealed them, and it was really a special ceremony. It was wonderful to be there. The kids first time at this temple, my first time inside.

First Day!

They made it! First day of school. I think it's gonna be a good year.
Audrey - 5th grade in a split class with Mr. Storch. Harry Potter obsessed!
Cole - 1st grade with our favorite Mrs. Adachi! Now all my kids have had her.
Tyler, too cool for school. He had a great first day of jr. high!
These two at elementary school together. I'm so glad they still have each other.
Cole and Ryan:
Brody and Cole - in the same class!
Drop off!
And there he goes...
After school reports were great. Audrey talked all about how fun Mr. Storch is. Cole got a "caught being good" and said "Mrs. Adachi is not very strict." Tyler found every class, is happy culinary is his first elective, met friends for lunch, and is on the same team as a few. He liked all his teachers (so far), and I can tell he's thriving with his new found independence. He even texted me a couple times, with made me happy ;)
I think she missed him today.
