Girl Scouts Do Disney

Audrey and her Girl Scout troop spent some of the cookie money they earned on a day at California Adventure in Disneyland. The left bright and early, rode tons of rides, and had an animation class. Neat photos from her leaders:

Last Week or So

Audrey got an award at school today for her smarts! She's definitely a hard worker. Proud of this girl.

Tyler got out early one day this week so we snuck out to lunch together. Tacos, Mexican Coke, and Dodgers on TV makes a happy Tyler.

Tuesdays Cole and I usually make a Target run while we wait for Audrey to be done with chorus. He may have talked me into Halloween shopping. Not hard to twist my arm on a Black Panther costume.

Soccer season started for Cole. He was so pumped, and a has a few friends on the team. They're a cute group. Go Golden Warriors!

Hiked with friends this week:

Bright and early Saturday morning. Tyler had baseball tryouts, Cole his first game, and Audrey an away game and soccer pictures. Adam and I divided and conquered - boys and girls.

It's getting really fun to watch Audrey's Extra team. Last week they had some stiff competition, but yesterday they played great ball and won 9-1! Audrey got three goals and played forward the whole time. She and two other girls especially had good chemistry. It's fun to watch her make friends with this new team. Go Heat!

Laid Back Labor Day

Soccer tournament this weekend (a win and two losses for the girls - Audrey played great, scoring twice), and Tyler had food poisoning, so we were a little pooped come Monday. Luckily Tyler recovered quickly and today was such a nice, lazy day. Slept in, worked around the house a little, then went and explored this awesome used bookstore Brooke told me about. It is so neat - I could've browsed even longer.

Played at home. Tyler had a little homework to finish (he's not happy about weekend homework in jr. high.) Then borrowed Amber's pool key for swimming. Super nice afternoon just the five of us. Maybe the last pool day of the summer, unless 90 degrees sticks around.

First soccer games. Audrey's Extra team is full of cute girls and families, and two nice coaches. They've had a good share of wins, losses, and ties so far. Here's to a great season!
