The Week

 Audrey got a scholarship award Friday! I've been helping in her class every Wednesday with reading groups. It's so fun to get to know her teacher and the cute kids in her class. Super proud of what an awesome reader she is.

Audrey also moved up a level in gymnastics. Back flips and front hand springs, round-offs. It's fun to watch her every Thursday.

Petey came home with us this week. His second time to our house. Cole loved playing host.

Preschool went on a field trip to CPK, then to feed the ducks and play at the park. Glad I got to tag along.

Tyler started fall baseball. It began with a snafu, but we dealt with it and moved on. His coaches are super nice and I'm glad he's getting in some good practice before trying out for minors this spring.

Tyler also got a couple cub scout awards this week. It's kind of crazy but fun to help Adam plan the pack meetings. It's sure a lesson in scouting, if nothing else! Cub scouts has become a family affair. How cute is Tyler in his uniform, though.

Back to the grind as Ladybug started last week, too. House buying is going smoothly, too. Looks like we're on track to close beginning of October. Crazy!

Soccer Shots

Some photos from last weekend's soccer game. I love watching Audrey play. She's a good athlete whether it's gymnastics, swimming, or soccer. She's committed, pushes herself, has fun, and never stops - even on these hot September days. It helps that she has cute friends on her team, and a great coach. Go Watermelon Smashers!

Weekend

The Primary Program was today. The kids did great! I love, love serving in primary. I'm so lucky to have this calling the past few years - the kids, leaders, and teachers are wonderful.

Tyler and Audrey both played prelude music before church. I think that was my favorite part.

We also had an awesome Saturday with the Tait family. Jordan, Heather, and their kids were here from Idaho. Ryan came up, too. We all went to Audrey's soccer game, then met Grandma and Grandpa, Mikey and Veronica at the BYU/UCLA game. Grandma brought lots of yummy food - so fun tailgating with lots of cousins.

Go Cougars! Sadly they lost by one point!!! It was a good game though.

Mr. Cool got football lessons from Adam. He was really into the game.

It was a great weekend catching up with family. Wish we all lived closer, and could get together more often - hopefully for the holidays.

Rain, Rain

Woke up to a rain day. Dropped the big kids at school, Cole grabbed his umbrella and ran straight to the back yard for playing and splashing in puddles. What an adventure rain is when you hardly ever get it!

Cole and I are spending the morning cozy at home, waiting for an inspection guy (home buying!!), and enjoying an overcast day. I made super easy crock pot hot chocolate which is my new favorite thing, since rain days in LA are basically our snow days. Oh and remember Audrey and Adam on set? We got some photos back. If only I could dress her like this for Halloween!

Hello Soccer Season!

Ready for her first game. Audrey has grown so much since last year. She was nervous right before, but played great on both offense and defense. These girls really work hard on the field - it's so good for them! Tie game 2-2!

Happy Labor Day Weekend

It's hard to find a weekend where we all have three days off with nothing on the calendar, so we enjoyed it! Soon soccer, baseball, Ladybug, and acting workshops will invade. We are grateful for our awesome friends who let us crash their pool. Thank you!

The biggest news from our weekend is we are officially buying our house! Papers are signed and we are in escrow as of Tuesday. Now I really know what "in escrow" means instead of it just sounding like something real grown ups do. It's been a crazy, wild ride, and is not over, but we're hopeful that by mid-October this house will be ours. Fingers and toes are crossed over here and lots of prayers.

Speaking of prayers, Tyler asks mostly for two things in his prayers: 1) That we buy our house. 2) That he'll win the Lego Magazine building contest. Oh man if there was a way I could rig this contest I would, he wants it so bad. Good thing there's a new contest in each issue, and hey... you never know. Here's his creation - it's a Chima contest, kids are supposed to build a fortress to protect the chi.

Also this week Adam had a part on Henry Danger. It's the Christmas episode, so won't air 'til December, but he's in his underwear at one part so it's sure to be good. Henry Danger Season 2, and Game Shakers both premiere this Saturday so set your DVRs.
