The End

Halloween is over! Spooky dinner and trick or treating with a bunch of good friends, then back to our neighborhood for a few last houses. Insane amount of candy. Kids said best Halloween yet.

Trunk Or Treat

Super fun night at our ward's trunk or treat. My talented friend, Michalle, planned a Harry Potter theme and did an amazing job. We had a blast.

Finally got Cole in his new costume - Batman from Batman vs. Superman. He looked great!

Weekend Kick-Off

Wow, this day! Filled with awesome things moms get to do, but it was nonstop. In a nutshell - started with all three kids giving presentations. Audrey and Cole recited fall poems, Tyler had a pretty big project due. Explorer wax museum performance. He was Jacques Cartier, and he was ready!

And to help with Audrey's class Halloween party. I was in charge of pin the nose on the pumpkin.

Kids played games and made all kinds of goodies. Grapensteins and banana ghosts:

Missed Cole's class party, but my friend sent pictures of cookie decorating. His favorite was witch relay races.

I was at big kids school for the performance. Might be my favorite project yet. Tyler was a fantastic Jacques, and afterward said, "that was actually pretty fun."

You can see the 5th graders lined up across campus. Super impressed with them all, giving their speeches for parent and student spectators.

Then a quick change to the school Fall Festival!

Audrey is such a great Rey. She got compliments all night.

Batman. Randomly Cole wanted to wear these old dress up clothes. Still hasn't revealed his new costume!

Good friends, food, candy, lots of fun. I think the kids had churros, nachos, candy, and Sprite for dinner (I'm so awesome!) We came home and crashed, but not before I lost it on my sugar-highed, not-listening kids. Later I apologized for my loud yelling and Tyler said, "That's ok, we forgive you mom. Even when you go nuclear." Might be my favorite quote of the day, and oddly comforting. Two parties to go, and glad Adam will be around for both!

Pumpkin Patch

How many trips to the pumpkin patch do you think I have left with Tyler? Who knows, maybe a bunch, but I had a "sieze the day" feeling today, picked the kids up early from school, and headed to Underwood Family Farms. Such a great farm and pumpkin patch. We had a wonderful afternoon together.

Corn maze and wagon ride were first stop. Tyler had memorized the best path through the maze, so we got to the haystack quick!

I barely lifted a finger today - Tyler pulled the wagon and all. These kind of outings have sure gotten easier as my kids get older.

Got what we came for (plus strawberries and caramel apple kettle corn for the ride home.) Tyler was especially into picking out our family pumpkin. Ready to carve it this weekend with Adam.
