Quick Utah Trip

We were so lucky to sneak a super fast trip to Utah to go through the temple with Lexi. It was such a special morning, and she is just the best.

Lexi and Nathan get married in two weeks! Audrey gave him her stamp of approval.

Love these cousins! Can't help but think about how fast time flies when I see them. They were in elementary school when Adam and I were married. In no time I'll have my own teenagers!!

It was a beautiful morning, so glad we were there.

We got to watch a couple of Devin's baseball games, which was really fun. Catching up with Kim and Steve is always so great. Snuck in a family hike to Sand Hollow. I think being outdoors, getting fresh air and exercise, is one of our favorite things - it always makes us feel more connected and happier.

Came home already missing family a bunch, super sleepy, and with lots of Utah bread in the trunk. It's nice when 36 hours really feels like a little getaway. 

Trunk or Treat

Kids had a blast at the church trunk or treat. It's always a great time and they love running from car to car with their friends, collecting loads of candy. Tyler had baseball practice so Audrey and Cole got ready at the field. We were finally able to make her zombie cheerleader happen!

We had chili and Tyler and Cole played games, won another cake in the cake walk. I spent most of my time in the craft room with my awesome Activity Days girls. They did a great job helping the little ones craft:

Then trunk or treat, and we came home with all this loot. The big candy dump, and sorting, and trading - what Halloween's all about.

School spirit and Dodgers cheering squad. This has been such an exciting playoff season. It's fun to cheer as a family - good memories in the making. Let's go Dodgers!

Bridge to Juniors

Audrey is officially a Junior Girl Scout. Farewell Brownies!

Now that she's Activity Days, I think, how much longer will we do Girl Scouts? But then we hang with this cute group of girls and they are just so fun together, and a good group of moms, too. Audrey and the girls have gotten to do some really neat things. So I guess the answer to quitting is, not yet.

The girls each shared their favorite Brownie memory. Audrey said going to SeaWorld with her friends and mom.

Fall Festival

Took these two to the school Fall Festival last night. Extra pumpkin to collect candy for sick Tyler.

Poor Tyler had the weirdest thing happen - this huge, painful swollen gland on the side of his face. At first we just watched it, then he spiked a fever so we called the doctor. Good thing because the doctor was a little worried (even had another doc come in for second opinion.) Gave Tyler a shot in the bum (so sad) of antibiotics, told us if it gets worse go to the ER (!!), and sent us home with more drugs and a Monday appointment. Tyler was so brave. Luckily Adam got home to hang with Tyler, and I hit the festival with Audrey and Cole. First stop the 6th grade cake walk where Tyler was supposed to volunteer.

Audrey was such a good sport, she wanted to be a zombie cheerleader but because of the doctor we didn't have time for zombie make-up. Kitty cat it was! She was grateful later, actually - it got chilly.

Trick-or-treating was Willy Wonka themed. Amazing decorations.

We played games, raffled gift baskets, hung out with cute friends, and forgot to eat dinner (candy counts!) Audrey tried the cake walk again and won! Fun night with these two - I guess this is what it'll be like next year with Tyler in junior high.

Happily we brought Tyler home quite a bit of candy, too. He seems perkier - the drugs are kicking in.

It's sure fun cheering for this team (though Audrey got upset with me at the last game that my cheering was stressing her out - oops!) These girls are super fun and work hard on the field:

Little brother watching big brother play baseball. It was a gorgeous night and the boys were having so much fun. That's what baseball for 11 year olds is all about. We loved cheering them on.
